A 3-Week Cleanse for

with Ayurveda

Seasonal cleansing is highly recommended at two particular times of year — the transition into Fall and into Spring. WHY? There are several reasons..

The most obvious one being that we all get into habits that don’t serve us — whether it’s summer ice cream binges or late evening snacking or something else that leads to unwanted (and uncomfortable) consequences — and a cleanse is the perfect way to steer yourself back on track.

If we don’t have a way of redirecting ourselves, then our bad habits lead to unnecessary, and sometimes difficult, ramifications. Even worse, down the road they lead to physical, mental, or emotional DIS-EASE.

Another reason is simply that if we keep making choices — in diet and lifestyle — that are designed for the previous season, we will get sick. This is the main reason that you see so many people coming down with “things” during these two times of year.

For the past several years I’ve been practicing some form of seasonal cleansing and it’s made a huge difference in my life — as it’s given me the power to continuously redirect my lifestyle and choices in order to keep growing in the direction that I desire to go, instead of letting old patterns take over and feeling stuck and stagnant.

This year I want to share this amazing experience with you! I’m offering a guided cleanse to anyone who wants to reap the benefits with me, but first let me set something straight…

This ain’t your typical “detox”!

Maybe you’ve tried doing cleanses, or detoxes, before and felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and — I’m just going to say this…DEPRIVED!?

NOURISH is a 3 week guided cleanse with a focus on nourishing body, mind, and senses with simple self care practices from Ayurveda. During this time what most people need is more GROUNDING + NOURISHING + SLOWING DOWN + SELF LOVING practices that help us ease into Fall and the darkness of this time of year.

If you’re like most of the people on the planet, you’re probably already doing TOO MUCH and feel like you don’t have the TIME to devote to anything else, so depriving yourself of anything feels more like punishment than the medicine you need right now.

This cleanse is FULL CIRCLE, as in completely holistic in its approach, and you will get all of the support that you need to succeed! Here’s how it works…

In our initial session, I’ll break down the WHATs, HOWs, and WHYs of designing your Fall cleanse. You’ll get handouts to use to support your journey. We will have weekly group coaching sessions where you can ask questions, get answers, scream or cry, and connect whole-heartedly with other beautiful people doing this simple, yet powerful, cleanse together. You’ll also get an individual coaching session with me near the end of the cleanse in order to reflect, integrate, and move forward intentionally.

Other details:

  • If you happen to live in Central Oregon, you will be invited to 2 additional in-person sessions on October 6th and 20th (to kick off the start of your 1st and 3rd weeks).
  • You can live anywhere in the world and do this cleanse with me! Our initial orientation call will be Saturday, 10/05, 7-8:00 am PST and our weekly group coaching calls will happen on the following 3 Saturday mornings at 7-8:00 am PST via ZOOM webinar.
  • You will have access to all materials — videos, meditations, audios, PDFs, etc. — via a password-protected webpage just for people participating in this cleanse. You are welcome to download the materials to keep and use again.
  • I’ll send you weekly emails with journaling prompts, teachings, and tips for your journey.
  • You will receive constant support from myself and the group in a private Facebook group where no one other than the current participants will see your posts or comments. DETOX with ME!

Who Wants to DETOX With Me_Spring is upon us! I’m curious what you’ve been noticing in your body/mind/spirit during this transition. If you think about it, it’s a huge transition — the ground was covered in snow, the river was iced over, fires were in the hearths, heavier foods were on the menu, the world was a little slower and a little quieter. Then we went through an in-between period as the snow melted — lots of mud. I felt that way in my body a little bit, too.  Did you? I felt the heaviness of early spring and felt very slow and sluggish for a couple weeks.

It’s normal to feel a little “off” during these major seasonal transitions (Winter into Spring and Summer into Fall). This time offers us an opportunity to cleanse, just like the earth is doing, by letting go of the heaviness we’ve accumulated over the long winter. It also offers us a chance to hone our intuitive knowing and sync up with the rhythms of nature. Aligning with the rhythms of the natural world around us is how we thrive! Our ancestors knew it! It’s time for us to remember, too.

Spring often conjures images of tiny shoots popping up out of the soil, buds on trees, sunshine, etc. but early spring also carries with it a heaviness, as we are still transitioning out of winter. Our health is well-served by making some changes in the way we eat and what we do with ourselves during this transition. Ayurveda (literally translated as “the science/ knowledge/ philosophy of LIFE” a.k.a. the sister science of yoga) offers us much time-tested (being that it’s about 5,000 years old!) wisdom for thriving in our body/mind/spirit!

Springtime Ayurvedic Wisdom for Your Whole Self

  • Incorporate more bitter, pungent, and astringent flavors in your diet (lemon, arugula, dandelion greens, ginger)
  • Add spice to your food (black pepper, chilies, and turmeric)
  • Favor warm, light, and spicy foods
  • Reduce naps
  • Get outside and get moving
  • Consider doing a Detox
  • Eat a lighter breakfast than you do in winter
  • Only eat when you’re hungry
  • Avoid: cold foods, dairy, sweet, heavy fruits, wheat, sweeteners (except raw honey), salt, roasted nuts, fatty meats

I’m starting a detox this week and I’d like to invite you to join me. Don’t put the idea off immediately, thinking a detox is all about self-deprivation. It’s NOT! It’s simply a time to cleanse and reset so that you enter Spring/Summer with —

  1. Week 1 is all about easing in, noticing your tendencies, and setting yourself up for success.
  2. Week 2 is the deepest part of the detox. You will decide what you want out of it and what you want to put into it, so even this deepest part doesn’t have to be hard! It’s all up to you!
  3. Week 3 is about slowly coming out of the detox and moving back into normal life (which you may have a different definition for!!)
